Sorido Bay Resort in Raja Ampat is the pioneer resort by Max Ammer. Shark feeding is one of they ways to monitor the health of the local shark population. Shark feeding is sometimes a controversial topic. However these sharks are not fully dependent for their diet on the feeding by the resort. During our stay we saw one of the sharks recognisable by a scar, hunting on a reef near by.

When you visit Komodo a day trip in the Komodo National Park is probably on the top of your list. The park sees many daily visitors but during cover the park is largely deserted. The dragons are coming around freely unaware of the pandemic. A great change for us to get a few close up shots of these ancient dinosaur looking creatures.

I had never heard of this creature until I dove in Raja Ampat. This particular video is taken on a dive near kri island. It is a beautiful and curious looking creature not afraid of divers. So...the wobbegong is the common name given to the 12 species of carpet sharks in the family Orectolobidae. Wobbegongs are well camouflaged with a symmetrical pattern of bold markings which resembles a carpet. Because of this striking pattern, wobbegongs and their close relatives are often referred to as carpet sharks.
